Common questions
Is it worth retrofitting a new CNC control on an old machine?
Often, yes. If the frame, ram and hydraulics are mechanically sound, replacing an obsolete control — with axis tuning and a fresh tooling library — costs a fraction of a new machine and changes how the machine programs day to day. A1 will tell you plainly when the machine underneath isn't worth it.
My machine has lost its parameters and won't run — is it recoverable?
Usually. Lost parameters after a dead battery or board swap are one of the most common call-outs, and in most cases the machine can be re-parameterised and returned to work. Once it's running, A1 takes a proper backup so the next failure is an inconvenience rather than a crisis.
Can control faults really be diagnosed remotely?
A large share of them, yes — over a VPN connection A1 can read the control's diagnostics, check parameters and axis feedback, and either resolve the fault or arrive knowing exactly which parts to bring.
