Tube Laser Cutters

Tube & profile lasers, single-chuck to four-chuck auto-loading — supplied & supported by A1.

A tube laser replaces the saw, the drill, the coping and the marking-out in one handling: it rotates and feeds lengths of RHS, SHS, CHS, angle and open profile, cutting holes, mitres, copes and slot-and-tab joint features straight off the drawing. Frames that used to be cut, drilled and fitted-up over days go together like a kit.

A1 supplies tube lasers from straightforward single-chuck machines for shorter runs up to two-, three- and four-chuck machines with semi-automatic loading for production work. Machines are supplied Australia-wide; installation, commissioning and hands-on service cover SE Queensland and scheduled fly-in interstate, with remote diagnostics anywhere.

Common questions

What can a tube laser cut?

Round (CHS), square (SHS), rectangular (RHS), oval, angle, channel and open profiles in mild steel, stainless and aluminium — typically from around 12 mm diameter up to the 200–250 mm class depending on machine. It cuts holes, copes, mitres and tab-and-slot features in one setup.

Do I need a tube laser if I already have a flat-bed laser?

They're different machines: a flatbed cuts sheet, a tube laser feeds and rotates lengths of section. If your work is frames, rails, balustrade or structural sections, the tube laser is the one removing the saw-drill-cope bottleneck.

What's the real payoff over sawing and drilling?

Fit-up time. Joint-ready parts — copes, mitres, tabs and slots cut in place — mean weld fixtures get simpler and frames self-locate. Shops usually find the win in the welding bay, not at the saw.
